Abstract

Hepatic artery ligation was done for the purpose of life saving in two cases of bleeding hepatoma at the S.N.U. Hospital because of intractable massive bleeding.
The first case is a 44 year old female who had a adult first sized hard nodular mass on the right upper quadrant for the period of 3 months. In this case right hepatic artery was ligated and bleeding stopped.
The second case is a 47 year old male who had also a hard adult first sized tumor mass on the epigastrium for the period of 2 months. In this case left hepatic artery was ligated and bleeding controlled.
They were discharged without any specific complications after hepatic artery ligation.
